I would like to thank my husband Steven for all his hard work in building my new dream rabbit barn.
This is the front of the rabbitry, "Please wipe your paws".
The inside of the rabbitry is only 11X11 so it was important to make good use of all the space we had. We have a total of 33 cages, 6 are for does with litters. These doe cages are 24 wide, 30 deep, and 14 high. The other 27 cages are for single rabbits and are 16 wide 30 deep and 14 high. The rabbits are on an automatic watering system, so they have fresh clean water at all times. I prefer the PCV J-feeders to the metal J-feeders, but we have a few rabbits who think it is there lifes mission to chew these to bits even though they are give toys! For these few you will see metal feeders.
You can see my grooming and evaluation area here. The best thing about this is the able is wall mounted and will lock folded up on the wall taking up no real space in the barn. The judging coops fold down and store with in the table when it is in its folded position.
The barn is climate controlled and kept between 68-55 degrees year round. This allows us to bred in the summer and make the rabbits more confortable in the Texas heat. There is a digital thermometer mounted in the room that transmits the barn tempture, and displays it in the house. This way I know for sure the A/C is doing its job when I am not in the barn. We keep the radio playing all the time in the barn. This helps the rabbits not no become stressed out buy noise at a show.
The cages are hooked directly to the city sewer. All we have to do is wash them down with water and sanitizer. This make for a very sanitary and healthy environment for the rabbits, with little to no smell. We also keep an air purifier running in the barn. The barn was made water proof, including the light switch, electrical sockets, walls, and roof, all for easy cleaning and sanitation. There is a floor drain in the barn and on a regular basis we remove all the rabbits and supplies from the barn and bring in a pressure washer. We clean and disinfect every thing from the ceiling to the floor.
On the wall above my grooming is our wall of Grand Champions. As of 2008 we have produced 12 ARBA registered Grand Champions, and won one all breed Best in Show. Our ARBA rabbitry registration is also displayed here. We have been a registered rabbitry since July 26, 2005.
Both sides of the rabbitry.

Our buns get wooden ABC blocks that I make rope toys out of for them.
It's safe to chew on and lots of fun! Click the pictures above to watch video of them having a blast!
Our rabbits are very social and couriouse. They all have very unique personalities.
It's always a good time time for a snack!

Although the office is not in the barn I thought it was worth at least a few pictures as almost as much "rabbit work" goes on in here as it does out there. This also serves as the trophie room. Some of the awards I am most proud of are my glass awards from the 2007 ARBA Convention and my mini surf boards from the 2007 ANDRC Nationals. The quilt was made by my husband and my self. It is comprised of many of the ribbons I won as a youth showing Flemish Giants.
